What Lovable actually costs for a launch page
You finished a side project. You need one page that explains it, looks like a competent person made it, and has a button on it. Lovable will build that page in an afternoon of prompting. Then it charges you $25 every month for as long as the page exists.
Lovable Pro is $25 a month and includes 100 credits. The free tier gives you 5 build credits a day, a lovable.app subdomain, and an “Edit with Lovable” badge on your page. To lose the badge and get a custom domain, you are on a paid plan, and the paid plan renews forever.
The arithmetic over three years
A launch page changes in the first week and then never again. So the useful comparison is not the monthly figure, it is the total you will have paid by the time you have forgotten the page exists.

Nobody sets out to spend $900 on a launch page. They spend $25 and then forget to cancel for 36 months, which is the same thing.
Where the money actually goes
You are not paying $25 a month for the writing. The writing happened once. You are paying for two things: the hosting, which costs pennies, and the option to keep prompting, which you will not use once the page is done. That is the whole shape of the business.
The chat-to-app tools are priced for people building software that keeps changing. If you are one of those people, pay them — they are worth it. A launch page is the other case: a finished object that should have a finished price.
Credit for what Lovable gets right
Lovable lets you leave with your code. Their FAQ says you can download the codebase as a zip or push it to GitHub and “do whatever you would like with it”. That is more than most builders offer, and it is the right instinct.
Cancel a Lovable plan and you drop to the free tier rather than going dark, though you are back to free-tier grants and the badge. Bolt and v0 do not state plainly what happens to a hosted page after you stop paying, which is its own answer.
